Laura Lee Thomas Bio

I enjoy working with people and horses to help bring out their best by using all-natural, drug free techniques. I have over 33 years experience as a clinician and equine trainer. I have experience in several disciplines, allowing that to carry over in my training and clinics. I specialize in exercises to help you achieve your best. I work on your problems by helping provide solutions.

A few highlights of my competitive career are four time APRA barrel racing champion and three time AFR average winner; four time International Finals Rodeo Qualifier and money earner each time; IPRA and APRA Horse of the Year Award; IPRA Cowgirl Sportsmanship Award; AQHA High Point Barrel Stallion (only going to 3 shows); and AQHA world show qualifier in barrels and poles – all on horses trained by me. I am a two time Kim Hollis Hamm Memorial Barrel Race Champion. I was All American Quarter Horse Congress Barrel Racing Sweepstakes money earner and finalist. I have many other open shows and rodeo wins, with earnings in excess of $215,000.00.

I offer solutions individualized to each horse and rider, practical things they can take home with them. I do a lot of basic horsemanship enabling participants to get the most out of their horses! I teach good horsemanship so there’s a foundation on each horse and practical info for each rider.
